Ai Salon: Sovereignty [Bangalore]
The advance of AI has created a significant divide between nations with vast resources and those without. Less wealthy countries in the short term risk becoming dependent on AI technologies developed by global powers, raising questions about economic autonomy, cultural representation, and national security. In the longer term the very notion of national sovereignty might need to be rethought as we deal with the prospect of a super intelligence that can redraw borders and centralize power in a way that is very unfamiliar to the world we currently live in.
Whether you’re new to thinking about these questions, or an AI enthusiast that wants to share their thoughts with a receptive community — we’d love to have you join us for this first event of a series we plan to host biweekly.
