About Event

Young Voices and American Institute of Economic Research invite you to our Holiday Party to celebrate the season to follow our discussion on "Who Stole Christmas, Our Culture or the Economy?" Drinks and hors devours will be provided, join us for an enjoyable evening of holiday cheer!

Our discussion topic: As the holiday season approaches, we find ourselves asking: has Christmas lost its spirit? Sharing greetings of ”Merry Christmas” to “Happy Holidays” or “Season’s Greetings” — it may be time to talk about what may have caused the shift.

Our Speakers:

Pete Earle: Peter C. Earle, Ph.D, is a Senior Research Fellow who joined AIER in 2018. His research focuses on financial markets, monetary policy, macroeconomic forecasting, and problems in economic measurement. He has been quoted by the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, Barron’s, Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC, Grant’s Interest Rate Observer, NPR, and in numerous other media outlets and publications.

Isaac Willour: Isaac Willour is an award-winning journalist and political science student minoring in psychology at Grove City College. He has covered topics ranging from Florida’s death row to the war in Ukraine and has published more than a hundred pieces in outlets ranging from The Gospel Coalition to National Review to The Wall Street Journal. He blogs about culture, religion, and Generation Z at The Unafraid on Substack.
