These photos are a deeply personal reflection on what endures and what is quietly vanishing before our eyes—particularly the rapidly melting glaciers of the Arctic’s Svalbard.
We are extremely lucky to have Iole herself share about her work during lunch and then follow her to the Rainier Club.
Set within the Rainier Club’s collection of Edward S. Curtis’ photographs, which document Indigenous cultures facing profound change, her exhibition invites reflection on the impermanence of both environmental and cultural landscapes. While the message is urgent, it's also a celebration of the resilience of cultures that continue to thrive.
